Diesel Engine Oil Additive-KIM 8755

Kim 8755 additive is a new mainstream heavy-duty package developed to provide robust performance against the general industry requirements of API CH-4 and ACEA E5 specifications. Kim 8755 additive has also been developed to meet the performance demands of a number of key original equipment manufacturers at competitive treat rates. Kim 8755 additive provides superior protection against undesirable effects of increased levels of diesel soot in current engines by dispersing the soot to limit the potential for oil thickening and wear. This is achieved by the optimal use of the dispersant polymer, which provides market leading soot control under the most demanding severe service conditions. An additional benefit of the use of dispersant polymer is improved viscosity lift from the DI package Kim 8755 additive, which reduces the amount of supplemental VII required for finished blends by 25 – 30 %.

The recommended for Kim 8755 additives is 14.9 %wt., which is designed to meet the requirements of the following specifications:

In addition, Kim 8755 additive can be used as the principal package in a down treat cascade to cover the API CG-4 and API CF-4 quality levels at effective treat rates. To maintain the correct additive treat in this cascade system, Kim 8755 additive is used in conjunction with the booster package additive.
